STUART CHAMBERS
PRODUCER PHOENIX FILM SXB
I recently had the opportunity to work with Atik on the production of a rather unique film documentary for the aid agencies and Emirs office in Qatar.
Through this experience I have come to know Atik as an incredible, yet humble individual who has excellent problem solving skills and is committed to delivering the very best possible result, for the production team and the client. She demonstrated a keen attention to detail in her approach to the research and management of our production, which, when balanced against an ability to see the big picture, meant finding opportunities for efficiencies in unique places.
Atik had a clear understanding of the production's needs and was tenacious in her determination to deliver against them in a manner that wasn't going to impact the creative integrity of the documentary. She was able to find a balance in a tight schedule with competing interests and managing expectations when there were problems in the schedule.
Overall I found that through her integrity and passion Atik brought huge amounts to the table and I would have no hesitation what so ever in working with her again.
You cannot find better in my view.

GERDA JANSEN HENDRIKS
DIRECTOR OF HISTORICAL PROGRAMMES
NPL
As a Director of Historical Programmes, I have been working with Sri Kusmati for a short documentary about the Linggadjati agreement of 1946. This was an understanding between the Dutch colonial government and Indonesian Republic about the future of the country.
For me it was a pleasure to work with Sri Kusmati. She was very professional and everything was organised very well. She was great in making contacts with all kinds of people, which is very important for documentary production. I hope I can enjoy working with her again. |

NOLAN
CORRESPONDENT
AL JAZEERA ENGLISH for SYDNEY BUREAU
I
worked with Sri Kusmiati for a period of 3 days covering
the Garuda plane crash in Yogyakarta in 2007. I found her
to be an excellent producer/fixer, one of the best I’ve
ever worked with. She has an extensive list of contacts
in Indonesia and is able to arrange interviews at very short
notice.
She is also skilled at making logistical
arrangements to meet tight deadlines and in our case did
this from Jakarta while trying to get on the first plane
to Yogyakarta.
But what makes her better than most fixers
is her understanding of the television medium – the
pictures we need to get and the tight timeframe we have
to get them. I can highly recommend her to any media organisation
looking for help in Indonesia.”- DAN NOLAN | CORRESPONDENT

STEP
VAESSEN
INDONESIAN CORRESPONDENT ALJAZEERA ENGLISH TELEVISION
Sri
Kusmiati (Atik) has worked as my personal assistant, producer,
reporter for nearly two years. During that period she has
transformed herself from a local journalist into a professional
television and radio producer, who can work according to
international standards.
My experience is that she is very keen
to learn new thing and is capable of working with very strick
deadlines. She has developed a broad network of relevant
contacts and is capable of putting news events in Indonesia
into a clear context. Atik has traveled for NOS to different
areas in Indonesia, like Aceh and always managed to work
well under difficult circumstances.
Skills she has developed over the years,
are researching stories for television and radio. Doing
television interviews herself, following news events from
the office or on the location.I wish her lof of success
with her new job.

MARK PESTANA
DEPUTY EDITOR/ PRODUCER CHANNEL
NEWSASIA
Atik
was my fixer for a one-hour documentary shown on Channel
newsAsia, entitled Tiger Tiger Burning Bright. It was about
the political dimensions of the Asian Financial Crisis.
She was a walking encyclopedia of important contacts, locations
and procedures – fulfilling all the key must-haves
as a a great fixer.
Yet, besides that, she was an excellent interviewee for
Bahasa Indonesia speakers, a “pro” when it came
to working around the usual bureaucratic obstacles, a great
persuader for reluctant interviewees and a great muse for
ideas.
That documentary, produced in 2007, is still one of my most
memorable career highlights. I couldn’t have done
it without Atik.

HAYTHAM YAHYA
CREATIVE DIRECTOR, BRISTOL GULF QATAR
I worked with Sri Kusmiati (Atik) for seven days on a documentary For the State of Qatar, which outlined the Qatari relief aid work around the world. The documentary was shot in four different locations.
The smoothest area to film in was Bandah Aceh, Indonesia, thanks to Atik. Atik was not only a production Manager/Fixer on the assignment, but the heart and soul of the project as well that made a bumpy ride as smooth as silk. Thank you Atik

CHAN TAU CHOU
PRODUCER / REPORTER | PROGRAMMES - ASIA
PACIFIC
AL JAZEERA ENGLISH I
I worked with Atik on a number of stories in Indonesia.
An excellent fixer, she is meticulous, reliable and able
to deliver on tight deadlines.
Atik’s command of English also makes
her an effective translator during interviews. Observant
and a good networker, her keen journalist’s instinct
helps her sniff out leads.
Best of all, she stays calm under pressure
and is always ready to offer good advice… which makes
my job very easy! |
